Education + Innovation = The Children’s Guild. At the Children’s Guild we believe in one thing, the success of our children. We’ve created a learning environment that not only stimulates with brain compatible learning, but also integrates culture, the arts, occupational therapy and life skills training into the curriculum. We believe in our kids and we give our kids the tools and resources they need to believe in themselves.

We have a dynamic education and clinical staff that uses creative therapies and curriculum to engage our students in their own education. The possibilities are endless and the dedication to differentiating the learning experience and therapy to meet the needs of the children we serve is relentless. So whether it’s equine therapy or the latest expeditionary learning adventure we do what it takes to get the job done.

We are looking to fill the position of Occupational Therapist at our Prince Georges County, MD campus for the 2009-10 school year. The Occupational therapist will provide services to the children that we serve in a day school environment. While individualized services are provided on a one on one basis, services are also integrated into the classroom. The Occupational Therapist will be as active in the classroom as he/she will be in the sensory room. The Occupational Therapist will also be expected to collaborate with a team of teachers, social workers, psychiatrists, and one on one tutors to best meet the needs of the child.

Qualified candidates must:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Certification from the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapist (NBCOT) and possession of a current (or temporary) Maryland State license as an Occupational Therapist.
